Traditional Dinner

Dubai residents are often not privy to the history and traditions of the place they now call home. Learn about the rich culture and heritage of Dubai in a fun and immersive experience tailored to those living here. Choose to spend the evening or camp overnight in Sadu tents.

Meet us at The Last Exit Al Qudra late in the afternoon to be taken out to a hidden spot in the sand dunes of Al Marmoom. Set up a traditional majlis and enjoy a sunset falcon show with a Bedouin and his beloved falcons and Saluki dog. Learn about the history of falconry and watch these majestic birds in full flight.

Be welcomed at a replica Bedouin village next to a stunning desert oasis by your Emirati host with the traditional Arabic coffee and dates. Explore the village and learn about how the village was made, the animals they travelled with and the handicrafts they produced. Candid questions are welcomed as your local guides are excited to share their culture on a deeper level.

Watch the preparation of a traditional Bedouin dinner at live cooking stations and enjoy a spread of dishes like lamb tanoor (spiced lamb) and thareed (chicken stew). Enjoy the feast like a real Bedouin by sitting on cushions on the floor of the majlis. The traditional way was to eat with your hands and are welcome to try it if you’re up for it!

Watch a traditional dance performance as you relax with shisha in the majlis and hear from Bedouin about tales from their past. Discover how Bedouin relied on the stars for storytelling and navigation with an astronomy session with a professional Astronomer. Gaze at the Arabian sky through a powerful telescope.

It is the perfect evening to discover a little bit more about the history and culture of your new adopted home.
